At AIK, we operate under the principle that owners AND architects are our clients, and when we work for the best interests of both, the project gets the benefit. We see the best way to serve both our owner and architect clients is to work in strong, collaborative relationships that work toward owner goals in an open, solutions-focused environment.

Design Partners

Our approach to working with architects and other project stakeholders is collaborative. We see ourselves as partners working together to deliver a final product that exceeds the expectations of our shared client. We strive to be the kind of construction partner that clients and architects love to have at the table beside them.

First and foremost, we appreciate and value the creative work of our design partners. Their visionary work is the foundation of the entire project.

Our approach is collaborative, not adversarial. We have a responsibility to work together toward our common goal.

We don’t just take a cursory read of the project plans and make assumptions. We put in the work necessary ahead of time in order to fully internalize the nuances of the design and carry them forward.

We firmly believe that most problems can be avoided or resolved through open, honest and frequent communication.

We understand that the creative process is dynamic by nature. We have a responsibility to adapt to changes.

Owners

We put our client’s needs first, always. Our responsibility begins the moment we decide to respond to a Request for Proposal or are contacted for a prospective project and continues through the bid development process, to construction and beyond completion. We take our responsibility seriously and shoulder it willingly.

Our approach to construction management is personal and client-centered. That means we put the interests of the owner ahead of all others.

Many owners are surprised by the level and depth of detail in our proposals. We believe it is our responsibility to provide owners with ALL of the information they need in order to make an informed decision.

Our approach to working with architects, trades and government agencies is collaborative, not adversarial. We believe it is our responsibility to work with all stakeholders in order to accomplish the owner’s goal: a final product built as envisioned, on time and on budget.

AIK has the highest expectations of the subcontractors we utilize. It is our responsibility to ensure that all of the skilled tradesmen that work on your project are the most highly trained, qualified and professional in the industry.

We believe that frequent, open communication is vital to the success of a project. It is our responsibility to ensure that owners and all key personnel are thoroughly informed throughout the entire construction process.
